Reference
Look up the default template's configuration, environment variables, resource bindings, databases, APIs, types, Reaction definitions, and project commands.
This chapter collects configuration and development interfaces for saavo-default-template. When changing configuration, calling APIs, or troubleshooting, you can look up entries by filename, path, or key.
Scope
This chapter covers only saavo-default-template. Its source code is the reference for configuration settings, routes, types, Events, Commands, database tables, and project commands.
The initialized project
The defaults in this chapter come from the template source files. When Saavo CLI creates a project, it changes the name in package.json to the project name and sets the version to 0.0.1. It also updates Worker, D1, R2, and Queue resource names and the corresponding regular variables based on the project name. Binding names in code, such as DB and MAIN_R2, stay unchanged.
If you choose local initialization, the CLI installs dependencies, creates .env, and adds SAAS_SECRET, then generates binding types, initializes local databases, and runs checks. Initialization does not create remote resources or automatically replace branding, products, administrator emails, or third-party service credentials. Update these example settings before using the project for real.
The source archive excludes the commit npm script used by template maintainers, so the initialized project's commands differ slightly from those in the template repository.
